Actress Selena Gomez, 18, has become the victim of a jealous hate campaign from female fans of the 17-year-old star.

Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber's girlfriend Selena Gomez has received death threats from the singer's fans after they were pictured kissing and frolicking on an holiday in Hawaii.

"Stay away from Justin I'm gonna kill ya in the night underneath your smell bed. You are dangerously close to a long, slow painful death," an angry fan wrote on Twitter.
Gomez incurred the wrath of Bieber fans after she and the singer went public with their romance.
The couple, who for months kept their romance secret were pictured being intimate in Hawaii.
The open show of affection enraged many of Bieber's devoted young fans who took to Twitter and Facebook to vent their anger.
"I hate Selena Gomez, she is dating my man," had attracted almost 2,000 people who posted a series of derogatory comments on facebook.
Bieber's huge fan base on Twitter and Facebook helped him be named as the third most powerful entertainer in the world.
The Canadian born singer has nine million followers on Twitter and a YouTube video of his hit 'baby' has been viewed by more than 500 million people.

Lashawna Threatt Dies In Fall From Window At Atlanta Hotel

ATLANTA -- A 30-year-old model died celebrating her birthday and another woman was seriously injured when they plunged from a 10th-story hotel window at a hotel early Saturday morning, investigators said.

Witnesses told police that 30-year-old Lashawna Threatt and second woman were "play wrestling" in a room at the W Midtown Hotel around 3:15 a.m. when they crashed into a window and fell four or five stories onto a slanted glass ceiling above a sunroom.

"They were play wrestling and the next thing you know, they went toward the window and through the window and out they went," said Lt. Paul Guerrucci, commander of the Atlanta Police Department's homicide unit.

Rescuers found Threatt dead on the sunroom roof. The second woman, whom police would not identify, tumbled off that same roof and fell onto an outdoor patio outside the hotel. She was taken to Grady Hospital with multiple broken bones and other injuries and listed in critical condition. Friends say Threatt was the best friend of the injured woman.

"According to the witnesses, there was no arguing during the hours leading up to this, either, so it's really a tragic accident," Guerrucci said.

None of the handful of people in the hotel room have been charged with any crimes. Guerrucci would not comment on whether alcohol could have played a role in the accident. Authorities were waiting on blood tests taken from the victim.

Threatt worked as a model who did liquor promotions and appeared in print ads. She started celebrating her birthday Friday by eating with friends at a restaurant, then went to the hotel room for an after party, said Jomarys Castillo, 24, a friend who attended the dinner but left before the hotel party. Threatt leaves behind a 15-year-old daughter.

"She was extremely charismatic - she could talk to anyone," Castillo said.

Hotel manager Michael O'Donohue referred all questions about the death back to police, citing the ongoing investigation. The hotel remained open Saturday.

"The incident at the W Atlanta early Saturday is very tragic and our thoughts and prayers are with the woman who was injured and the family and friends of the woman who died in the fall," he said in a statement.

The 25-year-old English hunk also made headlines thanks to a new interview with Glamour, during which he voiced his desire to settle down with a lucky lady. He dished, "I want to be with my wife… Sitting on a deckchair, sipping some tea, and reading books in a retirement home, in a beautiful and warm place. I'm a romantic guy."
Needing no explanation as to how he claimed the second slot on the Hot 45 List, the always-popular Justin Bieber continued to be a mainstay in the top five thanks to another highly-publicized week in the spotlight. The Canadian hitmaker kicked things off at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards, as he ended up being doted with three trophies including Top New Artist – during which he shared a smooch with girlfriend  Selena Gomez before heading to the stage to accept his accolade. Continuing to garner plenty of press, the 17-year-old then jetted off with Miss Gomez for a vacation in Maui, Hawaii – where the two lovebirds hit the beach while not taking any measures to conceal their affection during a  PDA-filled beach romp captured in full bloom by a pack of paparazzi.
Rounding out the Hot 45 List top three was French First Lady Carla Bruni, who leapt above the pack thanks to her recently confirmed pregnancy. Showing off her baby bump at the recently held G8 Luncheon, Miss Bruni’s family friend Jacques Seguela leaked the news while adding that Carla and husband Nicolas Sarkozy are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a baby boy. Of the revelation, a report from The Telegraph told of Seguela’s credibility, "This is not the first time Mr. Seguela has filled the public in on the presidential couple's private lives. In 2009, he gave a blow-by-blow account of how they met at an impromptu 'blind date' soiree, describing the scene as an 'unexpected game of seduction between two wild beasts.'"
When it comes to the big movers of the week,  Bryce Dallas Howard grasped more than her fair share of interest while rising from obscurity to the 17th spot on the Gossip Center Hot 45 List upon the announcement that she and husband Seth Gabel are prepping for the arrival of their second child. Joining the “Hereafter” hottie as an upward trender over the past seven days was  Pippa Middleton, the sister of recently married Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Miss Middleton has become a focal point of media outlets ever since last month’s Royal Wedding – as she suddenly has found herself followed constantly by paparazzi while even being mentioned as a possible focal point for a future episode of the hit FOX show “Glee”.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, the normally top twenty placing actress  Natalie Portman has experienced a seemingly welcome nosedive as far as the Hot 45 List is concerned. The Oscar-winning “Black Swan” actress sunk from the 25th ranking all the way to 127th – though the lack of action on the web is by no means attributed to any wrongdoing on her behalf, rather a result of Miss Portman removing herself from the public eye as she gets closer and closer to the arrival of her first child with fiancé Benjamin Millepied.

Gillian Anderson is to star as a ‘sexually charged and alluring’ Miss Havisham in a radical television reworking of Charles Dickens’s classic Great Expectations.
The former X Files beauty is in talks to co-star in the three-part BBC1 drama which The Mail on Sunday can reveal will feature Hollywood hardman Ray Winstone as Magwitch and rising star Douglas Booth as Pip.
The BBC is planning what it calls the most ‘visceral’ adaptation of
the novel yet in an effort to win over a generation of viewers unfamiliar with the original.
It will remain faithful to Dickens’s story, but key characters and situations will be redrawn to give them a ‘contemporary buzz’.
Sarah Phelps, the acclaimed writer behind the new version, said: ‘We wanted to look at the novel again with fresh eyes and make it relevant to a new generation.
‘We don’t want the audience to feel they are watching a drama about people in bonnets. At its heart it is a love story and a story of sexual revenge. It is also a complex, desperate, violent and visceral tale, which plays out under the shadow of a hangman’s noose.’
Great Expectations, one of Dickens’s most beloved books, charts the fortunes of Pip, a poor orphan, whose social prospects are transformed by the intervention of a mystery benefactor.
Escaped convict Magwitch befriends the young Pip after a chance encounter, and Miss Havisham, a jilted bride who has declared war on the male sex, decides to take Pip under her wing. Pip subsequently falls madly in love with Estella, Miss Havisham’s beautiful but cruel adopted daughter.

The new take on the novel, which will be broadcast over three nights at Christmas, will differ radically from the 50 or so previous TV and film adaptations, including the definitive 1946 version directed by David Lean, which starred John Mills as Pip and Martita Hunt as Miss Havisham, who is described as being in her 50s in the novel.
In the new version she will be in her early 40s and a far cry from the ‘witch-like waxwork’ described by Dickens.
Ms Phelps said: ‘I was keen to have a younger Miss Havisham. I wanted a woman in her 40s who has a sexual charge and who still has those fires that run deep. When people think of her in the novel, they think of a nutty old woman in a wedding dress  covered in cobwebs.
‘But there has to be more to her than that, or why doesn’t a young boy like Pip just get frightened and run away? Our version of the character offers Pip something irresistible, awesome and inspiring.’

Both Winstone, 54, who shot to fame in the 1979 prison film Scum, and Booth, 19, who played Boy George in last year’s television biopic Worried About The Boy, have signed up for their roles.
Winstone’s Magwitch will be more brooding and less apologetic than in previous adaptations and Pip is to be portrayed as a sexually virile young man rather than a masochistic lovesick puppy.
Although Anderson, 42, is perhaps best known for playing Special Agent Dana Scully in the Nineties science-fiction series The X Files, she won great acclaim playing Lady Dedlock in the BBC’s 2005 adaptation of Dickens’s Bleak House.
She is one of several actresses in negotiation for the part of Miss Havisham and has yet to sign up, but insiders insist that she is the preferred choice.
Filming on the production is set to begin in July. A spokesman for the BBC confirmed the casting of Winstone and Booth but declined to say who was in the running to play Miss Havisham.

While being photographed topless with her arm covering her modesty, she said: ‘I got teased because of my lips.
‘I used to get called T**t lips – because I had big lips but no breasts. And then I was called Kipper Lips.
‘There was a big group of girls that was Devon’s answer to Mean Girls, and they would storm the bathrooms shouting, ‘I’m going to f****ing deck you, Lips! See you on the school bus’.
‘And boys didn’t really go out with me.’

She replaced Megan Fox in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, out next month, and plays Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend in the film.
The modest star says that although she doesn’t think she’ll become the next Meryl Streep, she’s willing to work hard for a shot to make it big in Hollywood.
‘Would I like even a sniff of Angelina Jolie’s career? Yes.  Do I think I have a future in this business? I certainly hope so. And I’m going to work damn hard to make sure I do,’ she said.
Rosie, who currently dates Jason Statham, added: ‘I’m not standing here and saying I’m an amazing actress or that I’ve had a heap of thespie training. But you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t.’

Deep-voiced Scotty McCreery wins American Idol

Los Angeles: Deep-voiced country singer Scotty McCreery won the tenth season of "American Idol" on Wednesday, defeating rival Lauren Alaina who had been dubbed the front-runner by the show's judges heading into the night.
McCreery, 17, hugged the other "Idol" contestants from the season and his family after host Ryan Seacrest proclaimed him the winner of the television singing competition.
"Never in my wildest dreams. I got to thank the Lord first. He got me here," McCreery said.

A grocery store clerk from Garner, North Carolina, McCreery sang "I Love You This Big," his first single, before a packed audience on the live broadcast -- and then tried to catch the confetti raining down on him in his mouth.
A record 122 million votes were cast by phone, text message and online after McCreery and Alaina -- both country singers -- each gave their final performances on Tuesday.
Alaina, 16, emerged as the judges' favorite on Tuesday after overcoming a blown out vocal chord to deliver an emotional performance dedicated to her mother. But backstage following the show, Alaina said she had expected McCreery to take home the title.
"I told him at the beginning of the episode, 'Scotty are you ready to win?'" Alaina said. "He's my best friend and I love him and I couldn't be happier for him."
Also backstage, McCreery joked that with the win under his belt he'd like to spend some time "on the couch watching some 'SportsCenter' and eating some chips."
The results were announced following a two-hour star-studded live broadcast that included performances from Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Judas Priest and even new "Idol" judges Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
McCreery won over audiences during the season with his distinctive voice and a poise onstage that belies his youth. He is the first country music champion since Carrie Underwood took the title in 2005 and went on to become the top "Idol" earner in terms of record sales and tours.
When asked about plans for his album, McCreery said he's focused on getting good songs.
"It's all about the songs after this," he said.
McCreery's win marked the fourth straight year that a male contestant has won the competition.
As the new "American Idol," McCreery wins a record contract with a Universal Music Group record label. An album of songs McCreery performed during the season was released Tuesday, exclusively on the iTunes music store. Alaina's songs from the season are also being sold as an album on iTunes, and she has her own single, "Like My Mother Does."
Now in its 10th year, "American Idol" has been a ratings juggernaut for Fox and the nation's most-watched TV show for the last seven years.

Lady Gaga became the first person to have more than 10 million followers on Twitter. The American pop singer is more popular on Twitter than teen pop sensation Justin Bieber and US President Barack Obama.
Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has posted far fewer tweets than her closest competition on Twitter. She is also the first person to attract one billion views on YouTube. She also has over 34 million fans on Facebook.
"10MillionMonsters! I'm speechless, we did it! Its an illness how I love you. Leaving London smiling," Lady Gaga tweeted on reaching the 10 million follower mark. The 25-year-old singer recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend Luc Carl.

Back in April 2009 Ashton Kutcher became the first to reach the million followers mark on Twitter. Justin Bieber is also fast heading towards the 10 million followers mark. He currently has about 9.7 million followers on Twitter and Beiber also features on more Twitter lists than Lady Gaga.
Amongst Indian celebrities on Twitter, cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and author cum Congress MP Shashi Tharoor have over one million Twitter followers.

Angelina Jolie has Brad Pitt permanently on her arm.

Jolie's latest tattoo sparked adoption speculation last month, when she revealed a new set of map coordinates on her arm, just underneath tattoos of coordinates of the birthplaces of her six children. But as PEOPLE.com suspected, the tattoo was in honor of Pitt, not a new child.

"Well if they know that it's latitude and longitude they would have figured out quickly that it was Brad's birthplace." Jolie told Extra on Wednesday. "It's Shawnee, Oklahoma."

 

Jolie – at the Cannes Film Festival promoting her new film Kung Fu Panda 2 – also says there's no possibility of adopting at this time. However, her movie does deal with the subject of adoption and she was happy to watch it with her kids and talk about it.

"We talk very openly in our house, so 'orphanage, birth parents,' are happy words in our house, and it's not a thing," Jolie says.  "It seemed very normal and they loved it."

A star has been born. Or found, out in the Australian outback.
Newcomer and recent drama school Elizabeth Debicki has been cast as Jordan Baker, love interest of narrator/protagonist Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire), in the upcoming big screen adaptation of "The Great Gatsby." Director Baz Luhrmann explained the unlikely casting of Debicki in a statement to Deadline:
"It was a surprising result, but Elizabeth's grasp of the material and her chemical connectivity to Tobey Maguire, in addition to her striking, athletic appearance, had us in a place where we were fully confident and ready to take the leap of giving the role of Jordan Baker to what, I guess, people would term 'a discovery,'" he said. "We are thrilled."
Speaking to the Australian website PerformersHub.au, Debicki spoke about her stratospheric rise from performing in a 10-years old performance of "CATS" to drama school to major motion picture, staying humble despite her gigantic new role.
"It all seems so outrageous that I will get an agent. I guess the bigger you dream, the further you have to fall if you don't get it, so it can be a bit of a scary thing to be that ambitious. But I was," she said.
Clearly, there will be no fall at all.
She did have some advantages: Luhrmann himself is Australian, and the film will be shot in their home country. Debicki joins a cast that, beyond Maguire, includes Leonardo DiCaprio as the enigmatic Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan and perhaps Isla Fisher as Tom Buchanan's mistress, Myrtle.

Aniston's orthodontist is perhaps the funniest boss of them all, a sleazy orthodontist who spends much of the film sexually harassing Charlie Day's character. Which goes to show how far out of the ordinary her taste is; after all, she was once in a loving relationship with Brad Pitt.
In fact, Aniston filmed a version of one of the film's scenes entirely topless and exposed, which is something new for her; whether it stays in the film or not still has not been decided.
The dark comedy hits theaters July 8th.

But while the pictures show that the couple are very close, Hurlock admits things didn't get off to the best start.
Recalling their first date, he told new! magazine: 'Amy asked me to meet her in London. She was with her mum and auntie and they'd been out all day. I turned up and couldn't find her anywhere - she'd told me to go to the wrong bar!
'And when I finally found her, she was drunk.
'Her mum and auntie were interrogating me, then Amy fell asleep on my lap.
'I was propping her up as we left the bar. I struggled to find a taxi driver who would take them home and, when I did, she was sick in his cab.'
Childs laughed: 'I can't believe I didn't put
him off. And he came in for a massage the next day.'
Hurlock also spoke about how he felt when rumours came out about Childs and Peter Andre.
He said: 'It wasn't too bad as I'd seen Amy before she went out that night and when she got home.
'Sometimes the headlines are worse than the pictures. At the start, it was hard as I'm new to all this, but I know now that you can¹t believe everything you read.'
And, asked what he thinks of childs on The Only Way Is Essex, Hurlock said: 'She comes across really well. I'm proud of her.'

Lady GaGa's new single 'Edge of Glory' is out!

New Delhi: "I'm on the edge of glory and hanging on a moment of truth," Lady Gaga croons in her new track 'Edge of Glory' which hit the web on Monday.

GaGa had said in an interview earlier that the new single is "about your last moment on earth, the moment of truth, the moment before you leave earth." She co-wrote and co-produced it with Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow (Born This Way).

Artwork for the song features her nude with her 'Born This Way' horns in place and hair wildly cascading around her.

The Interscope Records artist tweeted on May 8, "My song THE EDGE OF GLORY will be released on itunes tomorrow to begin the countdown to album release! You want to see #TheEdgeSingleCover?"

The Rolling Stone described the single as "a massive power ballad with heavy club beats that features Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band wailing on his saxophone. There's an element of cheesiness to it, but it's totally captivating and incredibly catchy."

Schwarzenegger, Shriver announce separation

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, announced on Monday that they are separating.
The statement, issued by a spokesman for Schwarzenegger, said the two were working on the future of their relationship while living apart and would continue to parent their four children together.
"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us," the two said in a prepared statement. "After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together."
It was not clear from the statement if either remained at their estate in Brentwood, or who the children were with. Schwarzenegger's spokesman, Daniel Ketchell, said he wouldn't answer questions beyond what was said in Monday's statement.
Schwarzenegger, a Republican, finished his seven-year run as governor in January and has been traveling to deliver speeches and pursuing entertainment projects. He tweeted frequently during his travels to such faraway places as Brazil, Nigeria and France.
Shriver was not mentioned in his Twitter updates from the road.
Shriver, also active on social networks, posted three updates on her Twitter page on the day of their 25th wedding anniversary on April 26, but did not mention the milestone.
About a month before the wedding anniversary, Shriver wrote on her Facebook page that she was going through a transition in her life.
"As you know, transitions are not easy. I'd love to get your advice on how you've handled transitions in your own life," she wrote.
During Schwarzenegger's time as governor, Shriver and the couple's children never moved to Sacramento, preferring their secluded canyon estate a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. Schwarzenegger never settled in Sacramento, choosing instead to commute by private jet between his home and the state capitol.
Shriver, a member of the Kennedy political dynasty and the daughter of the late Eunice Kennedy Shriver, left her job as an NBC News correspondent after Schwarzenegger took office.
As the state's first lady, she ran an annual women's conference that attracted a long list of business, political and entertainment luminaries, along with an audience of thousands. She also was credited with overhauling the California Museum in downtown Sacramento and, with Schwarzenegger, starting the California Hall of Fame.
The separation announcement comes months after the death of Shriver's father, Peace Corps founder and former vice presidential candidate Sargent Shriver, in January.
