NOTE to Hollywood actresses: bare any hint of a less- than- washboard stomach and the pregnancy rumours will fly.
Scarlett Johansson became the subject of feverish baby talk after photos of the actress, appearing slightly more curvaceous than usual, hit the net.
The shots of the Iron Man star and her new love Sean Penn pounding the pavement in California yesterday give the actress the appearance of a distinctly rounded stomach, setting tongues wagging that the duo might be expecting.
Not true her representative says. Johansson's "baby bump" is nothing more than a question of posture and a trick of the light.
"Scarlett is not pregnant," her rep said in a statement.
"She's outside running and it's simply the placement of her shirt that is misleading.”
They may not be in the family way but the couple’s sweaty session is one of the first times they have ventured out in public together since news of their affair broke in January.
