Cameron Diaz was born in San Diego, California on August 30, 1972.

At 16, she was found by a Hollywood photographer, who helped her land a contract with Elite modelling agency. She started modelling and travelled around the world, working for various designers and labels including "Levi's" and "Calvin Klein", for five years.
