  • Middleton rated third most attractive Royal
  • Survey ranked Princess Diana at fourth

KATE Middleton's wedding might still be on the horizon, but she was already crowned the third most beautiful royal of all time - surpassing even Princess Diana, the New York Post reported today.
Her soon-to-be highness' high cheekbones and regal smile placed her just below Princess Grace of Monaco and Queen Rania of Jordan, according to a survey conducted by the social networking site BeautifulPeople.com, which is headquartered in Copenhagen.
"That was a big surprise - that she surpassed [fourth-ranked] Princess Diana," said Greg Hodge, the managing director of the site. "But unlike Diana, who grew into her role, Kate Middleton comes in very fashion-forward. She's living this fairy tale and is about to become the most famous princess in the world."
That Princess Grace remained unmatched was understandable, however. "She's iconic and remains so," Hodge said.

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden was voted the most gorgeous male royal by the 127,000 surveyed. Prince William landed in fifth place, edged out by his fourth-placed brother, Prince Harry.
"Harry is known to have the cheeky jet-set playboy within him," Hodge said. "That probably resonated with voters, along with the fact that he's still a bachelor."
Even more surprising among the results was that Prince Charles snagged 10th place on the list.
Former playboy Prince Andrew, however, was named among the most unsightly royals - but he did fare better than his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Princess Anne, Charles and Andrew's sister, was named the least attractive royal overall.
"The British royals are typically very horsey-looking," Hodge said. "Diana certainly improved the ... gene pool, and we hope that Kate will do the same."
